Eastbound & Down Will End with Season 4

HBO has announced that the fourth Danny McBride's Eastbound & Down will begin production tomorrow in North Carolina. Season 4 will be the final year of the series, and is scheduled to launch on Sunday, September 29 at 10pm ET/PT.

According to the release, Season 4 picks up several years after the end of Season 3 and finds McBride's Kenny Powers living the American Dream with his family in North Carolina.

In other McBride-related news, FXX, the new offshoot network of FX, has ordered its first original series, with McBride among the producers. Chozen follows a gay white rapper fresh out of prison with a new message and new skills, which he will use in his quest for redemption and domination. McBride, Grant Dekernion, Jody Hill, David Gordon Green, Adam Reed and Matt Thompson will executive produce.

Saturday Night Live's Bobby Moynihan will voice the main character, with the rapping/performing portions voiced by Dekernion. Other voice actors include McBride, Hannibal Buress, Michael Pena, Nick Swardson, Kathryn Hahn, and Method Man.
