CBS and Hulu Unite (Kinda)

The weary battle rages on as CBS and Hulu announce a non-exclusive, multi-year licensing agreement to stream certain shows through Hulu's subscription service.

While CBS is still not offering any of its new series for streaming, they are allowing access to more than 2,600 episodes from their library series such as Medium, Numb3rs and CSI: Miami, as well as other classics like Star Trek, I Love Lucy and The Twilight Zone.

The agreement marks another baby step for Hulu and CBS, the only network still not offering new programs on Hulu. The two companies forged a similar deal last year for Japan, granting Hulu Plus members access to some of its older shows.

"CBS has a long history of producing truly great TV. Hulu Plus subscribers are entertainment lovers who spend their time watching shows they love, versus shows they might only just like," said Andy Forssell, Senior VP of Content for Hulu. Those two facts make for a fantastic combination, because this collection of CBS titles are shows that people revere and that really matter to fans of great TV like our subscribers."

CBS content will begin to appear on Hulu Plus in January 2013 and over the following months.

Left 4 Dead 2: Cold Stream DLC Delayed for Xbox

The Xbox 360 version of Cold Stream, the latest piece of downloadable content for Valve Corporation's popular 2009 co-op shooter Left 4 Dead 2, has missed its July 24 release date. "We are working with MS on a release schedule," Valve wrote on their official Left 4 Dead Developer Twitter feed. "We don't have an ETA yet but we hope to have it out soon. It will be 560 [Microsoft Points, or $7]." Later, they added, "We have no news on an [ETA] yet."

The DLC should be a welcome one for Left 4 Dead fans, as it contains not only the brand-new Cold Stream campaign, but also imports four of the five campaigns from the original game as well: Blood Harvest, Crash Course, Dead Air, and Death Toll (the fifth, No Mercy, was previously brought to L4D2 via The Sacrifice DLC -- see the video below).

The PC version is available now on Steam for free.
