Microsoft to Open New Studio in London

Microsoft is set to open a new games studio in London. The company is currently hiring senior staff to run the studio.

“EMEA is a key market for us and we continue to cultivate the best talent and focus on growing our business, with this role focused on the continued expansion of our Microsoft Studios business in the region,” the company told MCV.

Job listings for the studio suggest this new team will be working on more casual experiences, seeking employees with a history in both cloud and mobile gaming.

Microsoft already operates several studios in the UK, including Lionhead, Rare and Soho Productions.

The news comes on the back of reports of an unspecified number of redundancies at Microsoft Studios Vancouver after further development on both Microsoft Flight and Project Columbia was ceased.

Konami Recruiting for New London Studio

Konami is recruiting staff for a new dedicated PES production studio based in London.

We are looking for a number of creative people who can help us elevate PES to whole new levels.

The satellite office will work alongside the company's main studio in Tokyo to try and capture local football culture and keep the Pro Evo series fresh and exciting. Interested parties will be invited to apply to apply for posts at the Games Developers Conference, which will take place in Cologne between August 13 and 14.

Konami president Shinji Hirano said, "We are looking for a number of creative people who can help us elevate PES to whole new levels. As part of Konami’s commitment to ensuring PES captures the majesty of European football, we are looking for people to help capture the very essence of the beautiful game and bring it to life.

"We look forward to meeting interested parties at GDC Europe."

Anyone wanting to apply should drop their CV and applications off at Booth #165 at GDC Europe 2012. Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 is due out later this year, with an official European demo available from tomorrow.

Love Call of Duty? Subscribe to These Channels

Even if you're not a part of the editorial or video teams at IGN, our staff is always on the hunt for people who create fantastic video game content. With the advent and propagation of YouTube, it's also never been easier to sit down and watch countless hours of video showcasing your favorite franchises on a whim. The problem, though, is that a lot of what's out there is poorly made, deceptively tagged for clicks, or downright boring.

With this in mind, we decided to help out Call of Duty fans, pointing you to some of our YouTube partner channels who make pretty cool CoD-related content.

Steve Schwindt -- Sniper Master

Steve Schwindt makes videos that combine his personality with mad sniper skills. Seriously, if you want to see some ridiculous quick-scoping and killstreaks, just check out this video:

If you want more videos that will make you feel inadequate, check out Steve's channel.

MW3 Myths -- Denied or Confirmed

If you've ever sat around and talked with your friends about Call of Duty multiplayer, chances are you've shared a fair number of stories about the oddities you've discovered in the game. After all, when you're spending countless hours gunning down players and experimenting with load outs, it's not uncommon to run into situations that feel inexplicable or hard to repeat. Well that's where MW3 Myths comes in, taking a number of myths that people put out there and then providing video proof as to whether or not they're legit.

To learn more about the various myths of MW3, check out user Vikkstar123's full YouTube page.

Jericho -- Personality and Information All at Once

YouTube user Jericho is kind of nuts -- in a good way. With videos ranging from technical breakdowns that teach you to make awesome custom modes -- like zombies in MW3 (see below) --  to silly parodies of trailers, Jericho does a bit of everything.

Want to see what else Jericho is up to, including videos about Minecraft DayZ and more? Check out his extensive YouTube library.

Chris Spooner -- A Detail-Oriented Gun Lover

Whether MW3 is your first or your 8th Call of Duty, chances are you don't know as much about the vast array of weapons as Chris Spooner. If you don't have the time to spend hours figuring out what weapons work best for your playstyle, or if you just want to learn a bit more about the intricacies of a particular gun's mechanics, Spooner's got your back.

To see more weapon breakdowns, including some for Battlefield 3 fans as well, check out Chris' YouTube page.

Bobbya1984 -- IGN's Own CoD Master

OK, OK, Bobbya1984, or Bobby Amos, as we know him in the IGN offices, isn't a YouTube partner. But he's a CoD fanatic, and an awesome commentator. Few people have both the skills and flavor of Bobby, and if you want to learn a little something about how to play with style, you gotta check out his regular updates.

To see more of Bobby's videos, subscribe to IGN's YouTube page and check back every Wednesday afternoon.
