Modern Warfare 4 Rumor Debunked by Voice Actor

The voice actor who plays Captain Price has debunked rumors of a new Modern Warfare sequel. After reports last week that he claimed to be working on Modern Warfare 4, actor Bill Murray (no, not the Ghostbusters/Caddyshack Bill Murray) now says on Twitter that the report is “not accurate,” adding that he “told the guy I was doing a special new Modern Warfare for China, not MW4.”

Last week’s report suggested that Murray said “Yeah, on Monday I am off to meet Infinity Ward about the next game, Modern Warfare 4, I’m doing work on the sequel to Modern Warfare 3, it carries straight on and I only ever appear in the Modern Warfare games.” At the time, Infinity Ward simply commented “Interesting news today, but it’s not true. We’ve not talked with any voice actors, so all news is speculation.”

Murray is likely referring to Activision's partnership with Chinese publisher Tencent, which led to Call of Duty Online in Japan. Other previous Modern Warfare 4 rumors, including alleged information about new game modes and levels, remain unconfirmed.

All-Star Cast Revealed for Dishonored

The voice cast for Dishonored has been revealed, and it's quite impressive to say the least.

Academy award-winner Susan Sarandon, appearing for the first time in a video game, plays Granny Rags – a former aristocrat, she's been driven mad from years living on the streets of Dunwall. Chloë Grace Moretz ( Kick Ass's Hit Girl) voices Young Lady Emily, the daughter of the Empress who is kidnapped after her mother's death. Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister from Game of Thrones) stars as Emily's caretaker Calista.

Michael Madsen (Reservoir Dogs), Brad Dourif (The Lord of the Rings Trilogy), and John Slattery (Mad Men) also lend their vocal talents to Arkane Studio's first-person action game featuring a supernatural assassin driven by revenge.

And if that wasn't enough, it even stars Princess Leia. Well, Carrie Fisher will be heard throughout the city of Dunwall, broadcasting government propaganda on a speaker system.

“Having such talented actors voice Dishonored's compelling cast of characters adds a rich, powerful element to the game,” said Raphaël Colantonio, president of Arkane Studios. “We want to draw people into this virtual world and make it feel real. This celebrated cast adds wonderful depth and credibility to the overall Dishonored gameplay experience."

Dishonored is set for release in North American on October 9, 2012 and in Europe on October 12, 2012 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.

Bond Actors Reprising Roles in 007 Legends

Activision has announced that several original Bond voice actors will reprise their roles in upcoming Bond game 007 Legends. Daniel Craig will once again provide his voice and likeness as James Bond, and he’ll be joined by Richard Kiel reprising his role as Jaws from Moonraker and Michael Lonsdale once again playing Hugo Drax.

In addition, Naomie Harris and Rory Kinnear will voice their characters from upcoming Bond film Skyfall, with Harris playing Eve and Kinnear playing MI6 chief of staff Bill Tanner. Beyond the game’s voice cast, Bruce Feirstein -- writer of The World Is Not Enough, Tomorrow Never Dies and GoldenEye -- wrote 007 Legends’ script, while composer David Arnold (Die Another Day, Tomorrow Never Dies) contributed to the soundtrack.

007 Legends tells the story of six different Bond films, letting you play through six missions that cover five classic films as well as the upcoming Skyfall. Activision has confirmed two of the classic Bond films included so far: Moonraker and On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.

007 Legends will launch on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this fall, around the same time that Skyfall will hit theaters. For an extended look at the 23rd Bond film, check out our Skyfall set visit from earlier this year.
