Andrew Wilson Appointed as EA's New CEO

Andrew Wilson, former EA Sports executive vice president, is EA's new CEO. His focus, according to his EA blog post, will be on three things: "Continued transformation for our digital future; Delivering amazing games and services across platforms; and instilling a culture of execution that will drive profitable growth."

Rumors circulated some time ago that Peter Moore would take the lead on EA. Wilson has been with EA since 2000. In May, he sold all of his stock in EA.

Wilson says of his new venture, "I envision EA as the World’s Greatest Games Company.  This is not about what we are aiming for or what we will become.  Rather, it is about an unfaltering commitment to what we will be every day.  This is an attitude that must drive our culture as one team."

Following the departure of Johh Riccitiello in March 2013, Larry Probst took over while EA sought out a replacement. Wilson recently spoke to IGN about EA Sports, next-gen, and the future of Fight Night.
