Maintenance on the PlayStation Network will be taking place tomorrow, September 25, for roughly six hours, Sony has announced.
The maintenance begins at 9:15 a.m. PST (12:15 p.m. EST) on Wednesday and, barring any unforeseen issues, will last until 3:15 p.m (6:15 p.m. EST). These times are an hour earlier than originally announced. As in the past, if you've been on PSN recently you'll still be able to play online and use apps during the maintenance, but other areas will still be affected.
"If you've signed onto PSN over the past few days, you'll still be able to play online and access apps during this period, but you may receive a maintenance notification when attempting to access the PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home, and Account Management as these services will be unavailable," reads a post on the PlayStation forums. "Be sure to sign in now if you wish to access the Network during this maintenance window."
If you plan on buying anything on PSN -- whether it be playing a game online, buying something on the PlayStation Store, or managing your account -- in the next day, you'll want to sign into PSN and take care of it before the maintenance begins tomorrow morning.
