The numbers are in for direct market sales of August 2013, where Marvel raked in 33.70% dollar share and 36.30% unit share compared to DC's 30.16% and 33.14%.
However, comic sales were down about 15% from last month and 10% from August 2012, and those percentages are even higher for trade paperback/graphic novels. That said, overall comic sales of the year to date are still higher than last year.
