It turns out that DreamWorks may be developing a secret animated feature with director Noah Baumbach.
According to Bleeding Cool, the project is an adaptation of Berkeley Breathed's Flawed Dogs property, based mostly on the novel The Shocking Raid on Westminster.
Baumbach, whose other works include Greenberg and The Squid and the Whale, wrote the screenplay and plans to draw stylistic influence from the Flawed Dogs picture book. We'd heard DreamWorks had acquired the property back in 2011, but there had been no indication that the film was in active development until now.
It is worth noting, however, that Flawed Dogs is a ways off, as DreamWorks is booked up until the end of 2016 -- so we probably won't see the finished film for quite some time.
