The phenomenon that is Minecraft shows no signs of slowing down if the latest sales figures are anything to go by.
The official counter on the game's website reveals the PC version has now sold over 12 million copies.
Back in June when the PC version broke through the 11 million mark, developer Mojang announced lifetime sales of the franchise across all platforms were over 22 million.
When asked by IGN what the figure currently is, we were told that across all platforms the Minecraft franchise has shifted over 33 millions units. We don't think we're alone in saying that's a staggering achievement.
Considering an Xbox One version is on the way next year, along with releases on PS3, PS Vita and PlayStation 4, there's no telling how many units the game will sell by the time it's done.
If you're still in love with Minecraft but can't wait for the versions available on other platforms, Mojang announced yesterday that Mass Effect DLC would soon be available for the Xbox 360 version.
