Xbox One to Support Eight Controllers at Once

Microsoft has revealed the Xbox One will support up to eight wireless controllers at once.

An update to the peripheral's product page reveals that the controllers will also boast a 30 foot wireless range.

It's worth noting that just because the console will support this many controllers, doesn't mean games will. The PlayStation 3 has supported seven controllers since it's launch, though no titles have made use of this for local multiplayer.

In case you missed it yesterday, we updated our comprehensive Ask Me Anything series with the Xbox One's chief architect, Marc Whitten. If there are any things you're unclear about regarding the upcoming console, chances are you'll find the answers there. Otherwise, send your query to unlocked@ign.com and we'll try and we'll make sure Microsoft sees it.
