Every day hundreds of new apps make their debut on the App Store, and hundreds more are updated or reduced in price. We have sifted through the noise and highlighted those select few that might be worth your attention.
SnowJinks – ($0.99)
December is here, and that means snow days are sure to be just around the corner for school kids in the States – if they aren’t already. Get some practice packing and chucking snowballs ahead of time today, courtesy of SnowJinks.
Spellwood: Word Game Adventure – ($1.99)
Sega presents the App Store’s latest word-building game, set in a world full of woodland creatures, wizards, and woodland creatures who also happen to be wizards.
MotorBlast – ($0.99)
Weaponized racing returns to the spotlight with Mad Processor’s MotorBlast, so take care not to take a rocket to your windshield while you’re whipping around the curves.
Sweatshop HD Premium – ($2.99)
And our last new release of the day is the iOS edition of Sweatshop, the sneaker-making sim that you can try out for free through the developer’s website.
Catan – ($2.99)
Every good board game lover knows Settlers of Catan, and has probably played it so much the box and tiles are getting worn out – if that’s the case for you, you can migrate to the digital version for two dollars off today.
War on Terror – (Free)
If you don’t have even the three bucks to spend, though, check out War on Terror – it’s also a virtual board game, but it’s a free virtual board game.
Word Wonders: The Tower of Babel – ($0.99)
Wait a minute, is that the genie from Disney’s Aladdin hanging out in this free word-making game? There’s certainly an odd resemblance . . .
Ski Safari – (Free)
After you’re finished chucking snowballs via the SnowJinks app, jump over to Ski Safari to keep the winter fun rolling for free.
Acme Planetary Defense – (Free)
Like Missile Command with an accelerometer, Acme Planetary Defense has you tilting and turning your iPhone or iPad to aim at and destroy incoming fire.
Flow Free: Bridges – ($0.99)
New levels, larger levels and multiple bridges per level are now part of the puzzling package in Big Duck Games’ Flow Free: Bridges.
That’s it for today! If you haven't already, subscribe to the App Store Update via email. For convenience!
