Razer Edge Gaming Tablet Up for Pre-Order March 1st

Pre-orders for Razer's upcoming Windows 8-based gaming tablet, the Edge, will begin this Friday, March 1st, the company announced today. Introduced at CES last month, the Razer Edge is being touted as the "world's most powerful tablet" and features Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processors, Nvidia's GT 640M LE GPU, and 4GB of RAM capable of running a wide array of games at mid-to-high settings. The entry-level Edge comes with 64GB of storage for $999, while stepping up to the 128GB and 256GB Razer Edge Pro variants will cost $1,299 and $1,499, respectively.

All models as well as Razer's gamepad controller and console dock will be available for pre-order at 12:01am PST at Razer's official website with shipments expected to begin sometime later in March. To learn more about the Razer Edge, check out our hands-on impressions.
