In June of 2012, The Amazing Spider-Man came not only to the theater, but to gaming consoles as well. We liked it, but the game has since fallen off most people’s radar. Well, until now, that is.
In the ESRB’s weekly e-mail update, The Amazing Spider-Man is now listed as coming to PS Vita. You can see a screenshot of the ESRB’s spreadsheet below.
There are seven new entries for The Amazing Spider-Man, and only one marked as for PS Vita. However, the reason for all of the new entries is listed as follows: “Change Value of Platforms from PlayStation 3, Wii U, Xbox 360 to PlayStation 3, PS Vita, Wii U, Xbox 360.”
Publishers pay money to the ESRB for their ratings, so it’s somewhat unlikely that this new PS Vita rating is a fluke. However, we’ve reached out to publisher Activision for comment and confirmation, and will update when we hear back.
