At tonight’s pre-TGS Sony press conference, an all-new Yakuza game – Yakuza Ishin – was revealed for PlayStation 4. It will also launch on PlayStation 3.
Yakuza Ishin is the eighth game in the core Yakuza series, and takes place during Japan’s Edo period, which ran from 1603 until 1868.
Yakuza Ishin will launch for PlayStation 4 when PS4 releases in Japan: on February 22, 2014. Its PlayStation 3 launch will occur on the same day. It’s unclear if and when SEGA will bring Yakuza Ishin in the west, however.
