The PC version of Thief won't just be a port of what can be found on consoles, according to the game's producer.
Speaking to Strategy Informer, Edios Montreal's Stephane Roy explained that the development team thinks the PC is "extremely important" and must be developed for with interface differences in mind.
"No doubt on our side the PC version is extremely important," he explained. "Just playing Thief with a keyboard and mouse it’s different so we must make sure we support that well. For making the PC version we think like a PC gamer, for consoles it’s a different type of beast. It’s one of our goals to make sure that the PC version isn’t just a copy of the console version."
Thief is currently in development for PC and next-gen platforms, and targeted for a 2014 release. If you haven't already, be sure to check out what we thought when we recently saw the game in action for the first time.
