PAX: Gearbox Has 2 New Next-Gen Games in Development

During its PAX panel today, Gearbox confirmed that it is working on two new, original games headed to next-gen consoles.

While no details were offered, Gearbox head Randy Pitchford teased that fans will be able to gain early beta access to one of the titles as part of Gearbox's upcoming Community Day.

For fans who can’t attend Community Day, Gearbox detailed the Digital Bonus Pack for the event, which fans can purchase for $19.99 to receive access to the following:

  • Closed Beta access to a future Gearbox Software game
  • Borderlands 2 Community Day Heads & Skin Pack
  • Homeworld HD & Homeworld Classic download code (redeemable upon release)
  • HD stream and archive access to Community Day

Community Day will take place on September 14 in Dallas, TX. More details, plus the link to purchase the Digital Bonus Pack, can be found on Gearbox's official site.

Previously, Gearbox teased that it had a new next-gen franchise in the works, though today confirms that it’s actually working on two.
