Forza Rewards Tracks Progress Across Franchise, Grants Awards

A new way to track your career progress across the Forza Motorsport franchise -- and earn rewards for your accomplishments -- is now available in the form of Forza Rewards.

Forza Rewards tracks a variety of elements in each of the previous Forza games on Xbox 360 -- things like number of cars owned, miles driven, Achievements, and DLC packs owned -- and awards you with points for those things. These points allow you to reach higher tiers and can be exchanged for in-game rewards in Forza 4 and Forza Horizon. New rewards, which get better at higher tiers, are rotated in each month and include in-game credits, tokens, and cars.

By signing in at the Forza Rewards site, you can see your progress (as well as that of your Xbox Live friends) and available rewards. If you've played any of the Forza games starting with Forza 2 -- the first game, released on the original Xbox, is not supported -- on the Gamertag you use to sign in, you may already have rewards available to you.

Once it's available on Xbox One, Forza 5 will be included in the supported games, giving you additional ways to level up on Forza Rewards and allowing you to earn in-game goodies for the time you've invested in past entries in the series.

This isn't the first loyalty program like this we've ever seen. Halo Waypoint, for example, tracks players' efforts across the Halo games, showing them their combined stats and more.

Do you like the idea of having your progress in one game mean something in other entries in the franchise? Let us know your thoughts and what you'd like to see from these kind of loyalty programs in the future.
