After years of turbulent production, it seems that the Warcraft movie is finally set to become a reality as Legendary Pictures has apparently scheduled filming to begin on January 13, 2014 in Vancouver.
Production Weekly has tweeted (via Collider) that the studio has already set up offices in preparation of the shoot, which will be a relief to Blizzard and fantasy fans alike, many of whom were losing faith that the movie would ever materialise.
It sounds like the incredibly positive reaction to the sizzle reel shown at Comic-Con this year has given the studio the confidence to lock-in a start date for filming. It's probably a good thing, seeing as the movie is tentatively down for a 2015 release.
While we know that Moon director Duncan Jones will be directing the film, we still don't have anything concrete about casting. With filming apparently set to begin in around four months, hopefully we'll hear something soon.
