SEGA has trademarked "Sonic Lost World" leading to speculation that this will be the title of the next game in the franchise.
Originally spotted by Siliconera, the trademark was filed yesterday by SEGA for use with video games, though it currently only covers Europe.
There's been a fair few rumours lately that the next Sonic the Hedgehog game is already well into development and targeted for a November release, but this is all supposition.
We've reached out to SEGA for information on the subject and will update the story with any response we receive. In the meantime, be sure to let us know what you'd like to see in the next Sonic game in the comments below. (Hint: with a title like this, omitting dinosaurs would be a crime).
