This Futuristic Lamborghini has Carbon Fiber Cockpit, HUD

In honor of Lamborghini's 50th anniversary, head of Volkswagen Design and Italian car legend Walter De Silva unveiled his latest luxury car for the iconic brand. And, according to Engadget, the car is only meant for one person at a time.

Stripped of a car stereo, traditional doors and even a passenger seat, the one-seater Egoista takes inspiration from aviation cockpits and represents what De Silva called "hedonism taken to the extreme."

In fact, the insulated and solitary interior of the car is so refined and cockpit-like that it's a chore just to get in and out of the thing. Drivers must remove the driver's wheel of the car, open the metal dome enclosing the space, sit down at a specific spot on the left side of the interior, swivel their legs out and then hop out of the top of the car.

But the car isn't without its luxury features. On top of a high-end, carbon fiber exterior and a silhouette that would make RoboCop blush, the car comes with a very aviation-like HUD that shows the car's performance. Plus, it's super fast: the 5.2-liter V10 engine has a powerful 600 horsepower, which will most definitely burn rubber on the streets with a mean growl.

Check out the car, which looks like a sexy rocket ship from the future, in the video below:

Of course, like many of the cars in the ultra-high-class luxury market, the Lamborghini Egoista will only be available to the exclusive ultra-rich. But hey, we can dream, right?
