Ubisoft Has 2 New AAA Games Coming

Ubisoft has confirmed that it has two new games yet to be announced: a new entry in a AAA franchise and a completely new brand.

The news came from a call reporting earnings for the company’s 2013 fiscal year today, which also confirmed that both titles will be “unveiled during the course of the year.” (Ubisoft is presumably referring to its current fiscal year -- which runs from April 1, 2013 until March 31, 2014 -- rather than the 2013 calendar year.)

CEO Yves Guillemot said that the new brand -- along with new intellectual property like Watch Dogs that has already been announced -- will “capitalize on the launch” of next-generation consoles. He also noted that next-gen games "will see a major leap in quality with an extraordinary level of immersion as well as the incorporation of all of the innovations developed in recent years in online and social games, giving players the opportunity to create their own experiences and share them within their communities."
