Game Debuts

Angry Birds Star Wars II – ($0.99)

Rovio's seventh Angry Birds game marks the third time the flock has flown into outer space, and the second time they've cosplayed as characters from that galaxy far, far away. Angry Birds Star Wars II adapts the storyline of the prequel trilogy of Wars films, recasting all the humans (and aliens) of the movies as cartoon fowl (or pigs). Will you choose to once again battle the forces of evil? Or will you decide to turn to the Pork Side?

Disney Infinity: Toy Box – (Freemium)

It's been one month since Disney's Skylanders killer launched for consoles, and now Infinity series is attacking the App Store too. If you already own one of the console editions, you can download this app for free and sync up with your previous purchase to import your characters. Otherwise, heroes like Jack Sparrow and Lightning McQueen are available as in-app purchases.

Riddick: The Merc Files – ($2.99)

Vin Diesel's third Riddick film is in theaters now, and showing up just a little late is this new tie-in game. The gameplay's all about stealth this time, as you control anti-hero Riddick in his attempts to elude capture from a gang of bounty hunters.

Price Drops

Scotland Yard – ($0.99)

One of my personal favorite board games to play with family (my Dad is always Mr. X), Scotland Yard places one player in the role of a criminal trying to escape the authorities after a heist in London, and the rest of the players work together as the constables trying to track him down. It's normal $8.99, so it's a wonderful deal to be able to grab this one for under a dollar. Do it!

Freebies!

Sefirah – (Free)

Finally, here's a freebie for you. Sefirah's a modern beat-'em-up that takes cues from classics like Sega's Golden Axe and Capcom's Dungeons & Dragons.

That’s it for today! Email subscriptions to the App Store Update are still just one sign-up away, right here:
