Want To See Your Artwork Featured On IGN?

Hey everyone! My name is Katie and I am an editorial designer here at IGN. My job is to create imagery and maintain the look and feel on IGN. Along with my bearded partner in crime Eric Sapp, whom you may know from our old community team, we make review headers, slider images, video thumbnails, and promos to display all over the site.

We know that we have a very strong and talented community here at IGN and we wanted to open up a chance to spotlight some of you for your artistic skills. We would love to use some of your imagery for content on IGN. Imagine your Mass Effect artwork atop a review, or your portrait of Niko and Roman having a relaxing day at the bowling alley in our next Grand Theft Auto article.  If you have artwork you're interested in submitting, below are the rules and size regulations.

Images must fit into the following sizes:

948x270

1280x720

1600x600

Your image must be original art. Please don't steal art from other artists. We will know that you did, and it's just kind of mean anyway. We want the great artists on this site to get featured and known, and if you steal it, then you're going to be living that lie for the rest of your life. And that's terrible.

and-thats-terrible

Send your submissions to http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/08/09/ArtSubmissions%40ign.com. You can also send us a painting or drawing, but keep in mind, we'll be keeping any art that is sent to us. If you want to mail us something awesome, please address it to:

IGN Art Submissions

625 2nd Street, 4th Floor

San Francisco, CA 94107

When you submit, please send us all of the information that you would like us to include in the post about your work. Your name, biography, media used, twitter handle, and links to your portfolio are great examples. If you feel passionately about your art, we want to know why!

If you submit art, it doesn't necessarily mean that your work will be chosen. There can only be one image for a review header, but we still may be able to use your art for top sliders or thumbnail images. If it's great, I'm sure we can find some way to include it on the site. Any image chosen for the review header will be given a by-line in the actual review.

Any game that is upcoming is fair, except for Diablo 3, which we are running a specific art contest for right now . Otherwise, it's always helpful to check out our list of upcoming games located here. Pick one, and go to town! Just be sure that for any upcoming games your work is sent at least 10 days prior the actual release date.
