Detroit's RoboCop Statue is Glorious

Back in 2011, the city of Detroit launched a Kickstarter campaign to erect a statue of its most beloved fictional characters: RoboCop. Now, more than two years later, the 10-foot-tall sculpture is nearly complete, with only the bronzing stage remaining. However, you can now see pictures of the highly detailed foam figure, which were posted online over the weekend. Behold the towering RoboCop in all his majesty (via A.V. Club):

If all goes according to plan, the statue will be placed somewhere in the city by late next summer.
