IIt's Always Sunny in Philadelphia's Rob McElhenney revealed today via Twitter that David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, the executive producers and showrunners of Game of Thrones, took some time away from Westeros to pen an upcoming episode for Season 9 of the FX comedy.
Tweeted the actor, "If ur wondering whether or not Benioff and Weiss wrote an episode of Sunny this year the answer is, of course, yes." He also attached the following image of him with the writers:
For those wondering if McElhenney is having a bit of fun with his followers and that maybe Benioff and Weiss were just visiting the set, not to worry: FX confirmed to IGN TV's Eric Goldman that this news is for real, though they couldn't reveal any story points of the episode yet. So Brace yourselves... Game of Philadelphia is coming.
