Payday 2 Getting 360, PS3 Retail Release in August

Overkill has announced that Payday 2 will be available at retail stores for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 this August in addition to being downloadable on Steam, PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade.

"We have a bit of a problem here at Overkill - there are just too many great ideas and none that we were really happy to throw out - so Payday 2 has become just too big to reserve release on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network alone," said Payday 2 director David Goldfarb.

We reached out to publisher 505 Games to find out if the retail version will be available at a different price point than the digital download and a representative told us “at this time the price for the title (both downloadable and boxed) is still TBD.” We’ll update this story with additional pricing information as it becomes available.
