IGNquiry: Kiefer Sutherland as Big Boss. Good or Bad?

Today, Konami revealed Keifer Sutherland as the new voice of Big Boss in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Some fans were upset that David Hayter wasn't reprising his role, but felt Sutherland was a great replacement.

Others didn't care either way. So naturally, we wanted to know how you felt about this casting decision. Below are some responses we got on our Twitter:

Some people were 'painfully pissed'

@ign disappointed. Might end up justImporting. I respect kojima's decision and kiefer will do a fine job but it won't be the same #IGNquiry

@ign Nothing against him but honestly... pissed off.

— Ahsan Zer0 Hoque (@BigBossAhsan) June 6, 2013

@ign Saddened. While I can see them wanting to distinguish the voices of Solid Snake and Big Boss it makes me worry about Hayter's return.

@ign why try to fix something that isn't broke? #hayterftw

— Dan Mellor (@MVPMezzor) June 6, 2013

@ign painfully pissed. despite Kiefer Sutherland's superb talents, @davidbhayter is irreplacable #IGNquiry

Some welcomed Keifer Sutherland

@ign Surprised, but with great hope for success. Kiether is a great actor, I think he can pull it of :-)

— Björn Andersson (@BjorneAndersson) June 6, 2013

@ign Awesome actor, if there has to be a replacement I can't think of anyone better.

— Adrien Brody (@afghanambition) June 6, 2013

@ign Amazing!! What a voice..and personality...the right man for Snake's part!! I was glad when saw it on the pre-E3

— Charbel_CK_Kaloush (@CKaloush) June 6, 2013

@ign I'm happy with it, opens up a Big Boss/Solid Snake double appearance, and progresses into the Outer Heaven Uprising#IGNquiry

— Luis Partridge (@LuisPartridge) June 6, 2013

@ign Its a good choice, experienced actor who is a household name. He should definitely deliver a memorable performance.

— Sean Kearsey (@SeanKearsey) June 6, 2013

@ign 24 kick ass reasons that's sweet!!

— Odell Davis (@Odell87) June 6, 2013

Others simply didn't care

@ign as long as there's a character introduced in it called Chloe and he says 'dammit', preferably together, we'll be alright!

— Nick Shefford (@NickShefford) June 6, 2013

@ign if they are preparing him for the film version I'm ok with it.

— Andrew Thomas (@Suite_Victory) June 6, 2013

@ign Sutherland is a great actor, so I can only hope that he does the role of snake justice! Still, it's worth waiting and seeing it...

— Erik Gerolaga (@splitmindeddude) June 6, 2013

@ign I'm gutted for David hayter and it won't be the same but I'm sure it'll still be a great game

— Mike Denyer (@MikeDenyer) June 6, 2013

@ign combining Snake and Jack Bauer might be too much bad ass, if there is such a thing. (But I'm still in to buy.)

— Justin Reynolds (@justinsocial) June 6, 2013

@ign I am excited, but I wonder if going with Sutherland opens the possibility of a live action MGS movie?
