Activion Executive Explains Strong Wii U Support

Activision isn't pulling any punches when it comes to Wii U support, as evidenced by the fact that the publisher has confirmed six fall releases on Nintendo's platform this fall. Activision Publishing chief executive Eric Hirshberg spoke out about the Call of Duty publishing giant's confidence in the console.

"[Nintendo is] obviously having a rough go with the Wii U launch thus far,"Hirshberg said in an interview with CVG. "But if we can add to the appeal of the platform then we absolutely will."

Hirshberg said he wants all games to succeed, as it encourages more people to play games overall, thus leading to a better games industry as a whole.

"Nintendo has been a great partner for us," he said. "It has some of the best game-makers in the world, and I wouldn't count them out."

Call of Duty Ghosts releases November 5 on the Wii U, the same day as the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions.
