Betty White is a Record-Breaker

Betty White has set a Guinness World Record, winning the title of ‘Longest TV Career for an Entertainer (Female).’

According to Deadline, the category was previously non-gender specific, but has been changed in recognition of White’s 74 years in the business.

A TV favourite, the comedienne is best known for her roles on The Mary Tyler Moore Show and The Golden Girls, while she can currently be seen on Hot in Cleveland.

The male holder of the title is British song-and-dance man Bruce Forsyth, who is currently presenting Strictly Come Dancing in the UK, and whose career has also lasted 74 years.

Chris Tilly is the Entertainment Editor for IGN in the UK and would like to see Betty White fight Bruce Forsyth in a winner-takes-all brawl. He talks nonsense on both Twitter and MyIGN.
