Was there ever any doubt? Entertainment One, FilmDistrict and Sony announced today that they are developing the third chapter in the Insidious franchise, with Leigh Whannell (Insidious, Insidious Chapter 2) returning to pen the script.
Jason Blum and his Blumhouse Productions, which produced the last two Insidious movies, will produce Insidious Chapter 3 with Oren Peli. Steven Schneider, Brian Kavanaugh Jones, Peter Schlessel, Lia Buman and Xavier Marchand will executive produce.
Insidious Chapter 2 debuted at No. 1 this weekend with an estimated $41.1 million, making it the second-biggest September debut of all time.
