The Matrix, Dirty Harry Added to National Film Registry

In its ongoing effort to preserve U.S. film heritage, the Library of Congress today announced the next 25 films selected to be added to the National Film Registry.

Among them were a few relatively recent movies and a few modern classics, including The Matrix, Dirty Harry, A Christmas Story, and A League of Their Own.

Here are this year's 25 selections:
