For months we've had to look at Japan and its white PlayStation 3s and say "Sigh, if only we were that cool." Well, today, we are that cool; the "classic white" PlayStation 3 is coming to North America. Starting January 27th, U.S. and Canadian shoppers can nab the white PS3 with a 500 GB hard drive and a year of PlayStation Plus for $299.99.

PlayStation Plus, of course, is Sony's subscription service that provides subscribers with discounts, demos, cloud storage, and games. This white PS3 is the new slide top PS3 that debuted at Tokyo Game Show in September 2012.
