It has been less than two weeks since the launch of State of Decay on June 5th, but that hasn’t stopped the gripping open-world zombie survival RPG from becoming the fastest-selling original Xbox Live Arcade game of all-time.
State of Decay has now sold over half a million paid downloads in less than two weeks, reports Microsoft’s Xbox Wire website.
In addition, developer Undead Labs announced that a new Sandbox Mode will be added to the game for free at a later date, allowing you to play endlessly without any story missions to get in the way of your open-world tomfoolery.
A PC version was also reaffirmed. Though no release date was given, it is confirmed to be coming to Steam.
A new Sandbox Mode will be added to the game for free at a later date.
Furthermore, developer Undead Labs has released a new title update that includes a new suite of improvements such as reduced cooldown times for commands, Zombies no longer falling through the floor in the Marshall courthouse, and weapons/vehicle repairs happening in the workshop at game dawn rather than real-world start of day.
In an attempt to get the update out quicker in Germany, Undead Labs just pushed a new version of the game. Unfortunately, this went out all over the world, meaning that people with this new version (purchased on or after June 12) will have to wait another week to get the title update, as each version has to be independently certified.
