In a rematch of a game we'd already seen once today M5 show Curse a totally different side of their hand and ended it fast and in style.

There was a peaceful start to this game, neither team forcing any engagements at level one. First blood was achieved by M5 with a quick Amumu gank, Shen picking up the kill. Orianna was running as second summoner and saved her life for the first time less than a minute after Maokai died when Amumu popped up again and landed a nice Bandage Toss.
Shortly after there was a massively aggressive play by M5, diving both in between and under towers in botlane, securing two kills for free, both going to Master Yi. Curse answered back almost immediately, taking two kills and bringing the score to 3-2. The next fight was a close one, curse almost won it but a great dodge by Yi and the always handy Shen ult turned the tide and added to M5’s lead. M5 set up a gank onto Ezreal but really nice reaction times and a clutch cleanse let him slip away.
M5 took the first Dragon of the game, unchallenged. After that there was a lull in action for awhile... then a large teamfight broke out. It went on for a really long and was very back and forth. Then Master Yi got a (delayed) Quadra and curse managed no kills at all. This pushed M5 to a 9000g lead and a 9-2 killscore, seven of the kills on Yi. M5 had the bit in their mouth at this point and they started pushing Curse around. The next teamfight they won handily with no loss, a highlight being Kat ulting for less than half a second before being stunned out by the Amumu counter-ult.
With a 12k gold lead and all the momentum in the world M5 had no problems closing out the game... but not before AP Yi got the first PENTAKILL of IPL5 (or the mainstream at least).
MVP: Alex Ich, Alex Ich Alex Ich. That AP Yi was both hilarious and super effective. Using the Q to dodge ults, scoring pentas and having almost all of M5s kills puts Alex squarely on the MVP throne for this game.
Not as close a game as the first time these two teams played today, M5 were in much more dominant form. This was a pretty one sided game and ended fast, but it there few a couple of good teamfights and AP Yi is always fun to watch. M5 move on to the winners bracket and curse.na go into the losers.
