Landfall Patch Hits World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria

Patch 5.1, called Landfall, is now available for World of Warcraft, which most notably adds more story quests into Pandaria. The content update introduces additional daily quests into the Krasarang Wilds zone that are centered on the battle between Horde and Alliance as well as new reputation tracks that reward open world PvP play.

In addition to bug fixes and class balancing (including quite a few changes to the Monk), Blizzard has also paid significant attention to its Pokemon-esque pet battle system by building in new ways to upgrade pets, more pet battle system quests, interface adjustments and more pets to capture and fight with.

Blizzard has also added more to its Scenario system. Scenarios are kind of like dungeons, but they’re shorter, built for three players and don’t require specific roles (healer, tank, damage dealer) to be present in the group. In total there are five new Scenarios, though four of them are split between Horde and Alliance.

There are many more changes and additions in the 5.1 patch, which you can read in the full patch notes on World of Warcraft’s official site.
