Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus Hits Vita in February

Tecmo Koei has announced the release date for Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus. Ryu’s latest adventure will hit Vita on February 26, 2013 in North America and March 1, 2013 in Europe.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus was announced back at TGS and is a Vita version Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, which hit PS3 in September 2009 and was an enhanced port of 2008’s Ninja Gaiden II on Xbox 360.

According to Tecmo Koei’s official site, the Vita version will include a new Heroes mode, which can be activated at any time using the rear touch pad and allows “new and casual players to use powerful and exhilarating attacks and advance through the game.” New “Tag Missions” have also been added, letting players switch between Ryu and Ayane, Rachel or Momiji at any time, defending their AI partner and using “the character best suited to each situation for a more exciting action game experience.”

This is the second Ninja Gaiden game on Vita, following launch title Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus. For more on Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, watch our video review of the PlayStation 3 version below:
