Yip yip! After much doubt and speculation, The Legend of Korra: Season 1 is definitely coming to DVD.
While Nickelodeon has yet to make an official announcement, there were rumors circulating last week that Korra DVDs were indeed in the works, as evidenced by a mysterious video promoting the release on YouTube, as well as a product page on Amazon.
However, two days ago this news was more or less confirmed by Avatar/Korra co-creator Bryan Konietzko, who posted the following on his Tumblr: "Just had a fun DVD commentary session for Book 1 with Janet Varney (Korra), David Faustino (Mako), and Mike (Mike)." Along with it, he attached this photo:
Still no word on a Blu-ray release, but at least now we know for certain that a hard copy of the series (with commentaries!) is heading our way!
Stay tuned for more righteous Korra updates as they become available.
