Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Coming to iOS

Theatrhythm Final Fantasy is headed to iOS. A listing on the New Zealand App Store reveals that the former 3DS exclusive will be free-to-play with extra songs available for purchase. According to the iTunes listing, the iOS version includes a new Quest Medley mode “where you can play through songs you’ve purchased in a rhythmical gauntlet.”

The iOS version will also include more songs and new playable characters compared to the 3DS version and also includes Twitter integration, letting players “tell the world about the scores you create yourself and share them with players everywhere.” iTunes lists Theatrhythm as compatible with iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (5th generation), iPad2, new iPad (3rd generation), iPad (4th generation) and iPad mini.

Square Enix hasn’t confirmed the game for release in other territories, but a release in New Zealand is typically an indicator that a North American and European release is coming very soon. We’ve reached out to Square Enix for more details about the game’s release and will update this story with any comment we receive.

Until then, read our review of the 3DS version or watch our video review below.
