In an interview with IGN, Blizzard chief creative officer Rob Pardo explained what Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft means for the future of Blizzard. It's the developer's first mobile game, its first free-to-play title, and its first collectible card game.
Pardo also explained that Hearthstone's success could lead to more Blizzard franchises getting their own CCG.
"If [Hearthstone] does really well, we have talked about the possibility you could see a StarCraft collectible card game," Pardo said. "I just think you'd design it really different because you'd want it to be suited to that franchise. You want it to feel right."
