Skyfall's Sam Mendes and John Logan Bring Frankenstein/Vampire Hunter Show to Showtime

As previously reported, Skyfall director Sam Mendes and co-writer John Logan are developing a new vampire hunter TV series set in 1800s London. Last we heard, the Bond duo sent out a script to several premium cable networks.

Now, Deadline reports that Showtime has picked up the high-concept drama project, which is eyeing a straight-to-series order. Logan and Mendes will executive produce, and Mendes will likely direct.

The untitled show, which has been tweaked slightly to fit the Showtime series model, is described as "a psychological horror drama series with literary underpinnings, including Dr. Frankenstein and his creature."
