The Azurite Blue version of PlayStation 3 will be sold exclusively by GameStop in the United States and EB Games in Canada starting later this year.
News on the availability of the special console, which was released in other territories back in February, was announced today at the 2013 GameStop Conference, an event for employees of the retail chain.
The Azurite Blue Super Slim system will be made available in GameStop stores in the U.S. and EB Games in Canada beginning on October 8. It will come with a single DualShock controller and a 250GB hard drive for $249.99
The Azurite Blue PS3, along with the Garnet Red PS3, were announced in January as coming to Japan for a limited time. These special colors, which are only available with the Super Slim model of PS3, also came to Europe, where they were included in a more expensive bundle that also consisted of a second DualShock controller and a 500GB hard drive, an increase from the 250GB hard drive included in the Japanese (and now North American) versions.
Pre-orders on the Azurite Blue PS3 will begin being taken tomorrow. GameStop states the system will available for a limited time only.
