The 1.6 update for Minecraft is now available in pre-release form, and will officially release on July 1. Colloquially dubbed the "Horse Update," 1.6 introduces horses, horse armor, donkeys, mules, and other items to the world. The full breakdown of what's new, check out the full list below.

- Added Horses
- Added Donkeys, Mules
- Added Horse Armor
- Added Leads
- Added Carpets
- Added Hardened Clay, Stained Clay
- Added Block of Coal
- Added Name Tags (item)
- Added Hay Bales
- Texture packs are now “resource packs” that also can hold sound etc
- Food meter is now drained when healed by full food meter
- Removed Herobrine
Minecraft recently surpassed 11 million sales on PC, and was announced for Xbox One at E3 2013.
