Take faith friends! It seems Sony may be working with Telltale Games to create a way for you to carry your The Walking Dead Season One saves over from the PlayStation 3 to the PlayStation 4 so you can continue your story.
Speaking exclusively to IGN at tonight's BAFTA Game Awards,Telltale executive producer Kevin Boyle and company founder Kevin Bruner suggested they were working with Sony to remedy the issue.
When asked whether you'd be able to carry your saves over from PS3 to PS4, Boyle responded, "Season 2 will read what you did in Season 1 and that will tailor some of the things that happened in Season 2. They'll be a lot more social and in-between episode features for Season 2 that definitely exploit what the new platforms have to offer. We're super-excited about PlayStation 4 and what all the other big console manufacturers have in store."
Pushed for clarification whether this meant that PS3 saves would be able to transfer to PS4 in some way, Boyle began, "We can't say anything about that specifically right now, but..." only to be interrupted by Bruner, who said the following: "We're in close contact with Sony and they understand what is the secret recipe of The Walking Dead so expect that we'll be talking about it soon."
One of the biggest disappointments for everyone who's followed the PlayStation 4 announcement was the fact that saves and digital downloads from your PlayStation 3 wouldn't carry over to Sony's new console, and the knock-on effect this would have for Telltale's hugely popular episodic game.
It may not be anything solid, but it seems the company is keen to listen to fan feedback and this story is far from over.
