Game Debuts

Better than Portal – ($0.99)

OK, I've got to admit that this game's title had me chuckling the moment I read it – it's pretty bold, wouldn't you say? That boldness will certainly convert to plenty of sales for this design, which is, of course, a new take on the warping puzzles of that old "normal" Portal.

North & South – ($3.99)

The classic Civil War strategy game returns with a retooled new edition.

Price Drops

Repulze – ($0.99)

Normally priced at $2.99, this F-Zero-alike is 66% off for the moment. Check it out in action:

Bejeweled HD – ($0.99)

Everybody knows the world's most famous match-three puzzler. If your device is still somehow missing it, you can rectify that for under a buck right now.

Caylus – ($2.99)

Travel back in time to the year 1289 and build a castle in the French countryside.

Neuroshima Hex – ($2.99)

Also from the same team as Caylus, this superb board game is on sale too.

Freebies!

Amber Route – (Free)

Even more digital board game fun, and this one's free! Amber Route is a new iOS conversion of a board game based on the ancient trade route built for the transfer of amber from the Baltic Sea to the Mediterranean. Neat!

Power Pros 2013 World Baseball Classic – (Free)

This classic Konami series has been around forever in Japan, but only became available elsewhere in the past few years. If you've ever been curious about it, grabbing this free download today is a smart move.

That’s it for today! Email subscriptions to the App Store Update are still just one sign-up away, right here:
