Football Manager 14 Coming to Linux With Crossplay

Football Manager 13 has become the best-selling game in the series, according to Miles Jacobson.

The studio director of Sports Interactive made the announcement over the weekend on Twitter, after revealing he didn't expect it to happen so fast.

I am delighted to announce that #FM13 has just become the best selling game in the series. Thank you so much for all your support!

To celebrate, he then went on to reveal a sliver of Football Manager 14 information, with the caveats that other features and a release date won't be talked about until much later in the year, and any suggestions or requests should be posted on the studio's dedicated forum.

So the promised snippet of #FM14 news. As well as being on Mac & Windows, it will also be on Linux. With crossplay!

This means if you're lucky enough to have a Macbook, Windows laptop and Linux desktop, you'll be able to play the game on all three machines having only purchased it once via Steam.

What do you reckon? Do you think Football Manager 13 deserves to be the best-selling game in the series, and what would you like to see in FM14 to make it hit even higher sales figures? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
