AT&T to Offer LG Optimus G Pro Exclusively on May 10th

In advance of LG's big reveal in New York tonight, Engaget reports that AT&T has released an official statement regarding the company's latest-gen megaphone, the LG Optimus G Pro. The 5.5-inch smartphone will hit stores on May 10th, priced at $200 on contract.

The Optimus G Pro, which LG showed off at Mobile World Congress in January, will finally make it to North America after a successful roll-out along the Pacific Rim. A healthy challenger to Samsung's Galaxy Note II, the AT&T version of of the Optimus G Pro will sport a 1920 x 1080 IPS display running Android 4.1.2 Jellybean, as well as a 13 megapixel rear-facing camera and a not-too-shabby 2.1 megapixel front-facing camera. Under the hood, the phone has a 1.7 GHz quad-core Snap Dragon processor, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. LTE capabilities will be standard with the phone, provided you're in an area that's fortunate enough to take advantage of it.

IGN Tech will have more news about the Optimus G Pro, as well as a hands-on, this evening during the LG "Share the Genius" event, so stay tuned.
