Nvidia's Project Shield Can Be Pre-Ordered Now for $349

Nvidia's Project Shield is now available for pre-order through NewEgg, Gamestop, and Canada Computer. Originally scheduled to be available through these retailers on May 20th, the company moved up the date in "response to growing buzz."

Check out our Project Shield hands-on impressions.

Nvidia introduced Project Shield at CES earlier this year, where the company unveiled the Android-powered handheld that is capable of streaming PC games. Powered by a Tegra 4 processor, gamers can take advantage of Project Shield's 720p multi-touch display and full gaming controller to play mobile games or full-blown computer games when paired with a reasonably-equipped PC.

Those looking to make the leap can do so by ordering Project Shield through any of the above-mentioned retailers or directly through Nvidia for a considerably hefty price of $349. Shipments are expected to start in June.
