Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen Release Date and Details Revealed

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen will be available for PS3 and Xbox 360 from April 23 in North America and April 26 in Europe, Capcom has revealed.

The game will be available as both a physical disc and a digital download, and will come with a new area, missions and enemies, while including all the content from the original Dragon's Dogma. Full pricing hasn't been revealed yet, but the PS3 digital version has been confirmed as costing €29.99/£19.99/$39.99, which should give you a benchmark.

Saves from the previous game can be carried over and owners of the original title who purchase Dark Arisen will receive 100,000 Rift Crystals, unlimited Ferrystones and the Gransys Armour Pack consisting of six brand new costumes. Dark Arisen will also introduce an easier travel system along with simplified menus, which will be retrofitted to the original game when purchased.

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen takes place on the Bitterblack Isle off the Gransys mainland, and will task players with venturing to an underground realm to face new foes in pursuit of new equipment, augments and skill tiers.

The original Dragon's Dogma was released last year and went on to sell over one million copies worldwide. The announcement of Dark Arisen was no surprise, as Capcom said in June that more Dragon's Dogma is in the works.
