James Franco's queue of projects continues to pile up with a planned adaptation of James Ellroy's American Tabloid.
MTV reports that Franco plans to direct and star in the film based on the period novel. However, this one sounds like it's pretty far off for now. Said Franco of the project, "It's not all put together yet. It's still early."
The story follows law enforcement officers Pete Bondurant, Kemper Boyd and Ward Littell from 1958 through 1963, as they're drawn into the mysterious assassination of U.S. president John F. Kennedy.
In addition to American Tabloid, Franco's slate of upcoming films includes Oz: The Great and Powerful, Lovelace, Spring Breakers and the ensemble apocalypse comedy This is the End.
