DC Cancels, Changes a Bunch of Stuff

As the solicitations for April 2013 slowly trickle out, some changes to DC's line have been revealed, including cancellations and creative changes. We'll post the full solicitations as soon as possible, but for now, here's a brief rundown:

Canceled:

  • I, Vampire
  • DC Universe Presents
  • Saucer Country

Changes:

  • Jim Zub not writing Birds of Prey, replaced by Christy Marx
  • Robert Venditti not writing Constantine, replaced by Jeff Lemire and Ray Fawkes

In an interview with CBR, DC Comics Editor-in-Chief Bob Harras spoke about the many changes as of late and claims that the Gail Simone incident from last month was planned. "What we had was Ray [Fawkes] coming on for two months to help out, schedule-wise. We’re very happy Gail is back; she’s on the book moving forward, so to me, that was a moment in time where we were just looking for Gail’s next plot to come in and we’re moving forward."
